MRH Solicitors Serious Injury team acted on behalf of Mr. O, who was 58 years old at the time of the accident. Mr. O was unfortunately involved in a motorcycle road traffic accident in September 2017, when a third party car driver failed to give way and pulled out from a side road, onto the main road into the path of Mr. O. As a result of the accident, Mr. O sustained serious multiple injuries.
MRH Solicitors were able to obtain admission as to primary liability, that is fault for the accident, and defended counter allegations made against Mr. O that he was contributorily negligent, which was not accepted.
As a result of the accident, Mr. O suffered multiple fractures including to the left scapula, clavicle, ribs, L5 vertebrae, and left ankle, as well as ligament damage to the right shoulder, scarring, bruising and an adverse psychological reaction.
Mr. O had been involved in road traffic accidents in 2011 and 2013, as a result of which he had suffered a serious injury to his right leg and the injuries sustained in the 2017 accident, further impacted on his mobility.
The injuries had a significant impact on Mr. O’s social, leisure and domestic life and he relied more heavily upon his wife. After extensive communication with the Defendant, MRH Solicitors were able to negotiate a substantial settlement on behalf of Mr. O, who was happy with the service and settlement achieved.
